"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Pork and Beans Sandwich, by Beverly Smith, is from A Taste of the Spirit - Book II,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 Can Pork and Beans Brown sugar to taste Worchestershire Sauce to taste Bacon Onion
Mix up pork and beans like you regularly do. I put brown sugar and Worchester sauce in mine. Spoon on a slice of bread. Add thin slice of onion and 1 piece of bacon cut in half. Broil in oven until bread is toasted and bacon is done.
I know this does not sound good but try it. We really like them. P.S. Eat with a fork!
