2 Cup sugar
1 Cup shortening
2 Eggs
1 Cup buttermilk
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1 Teaspoon baking soda
1/2 Teaspoon salt
2 Teaspoons baking powder
4 Cups flour, heaping

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together sugar, shortening and eggs. In another bowl, mix together dry ingredients. Add alternately with milk and vanilla. Roll dough out to a 1 thickness. Sprinkle cookies with sugar. Bake at 400 degrees until lightly brown.
