1 c. sugar 4 egg whites 1 c. white Karo syrup Pinch of cream of tartar 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Cook sugar and syrup together over med-high heat on stove until it comes to a rolling boil. Let it boil for 1 minute. Beat egg whites until stiff and add the sugar and syrup mixture while beating. Add vanilla and spread over cake.
