1-cup butter (2 sticks)
1/2-cup confectioners sugar
2-cups sifted plain flour
1/8-tsp salt
1-tsp almond extract
2-cups chopped, toasted almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly. Add flour and salt, blend well, then beat in almond extract. Stir in almonds; cover bowl and chill for about 1 hour. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Pinch off about a tablespoon of dough and roll between hands into a 2-inch long cylinder about 1/2-inc thick. Place on lightly greased baking sheet and bake about 20 minutes, or until lightly browned. While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
