This recipe for Apple Crisp, by Tom Walters, is from Cooking in Cottontown,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
5-6 apples 1-tsp. cinnamon 1/3-stick margarine 1-cup sugar 1/2-cup all purpose flour
Peel and slice apples and layer in pan. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over each layer of apples. Combine remaining sugar with flour and margarine, using a fork for mixing. Don't press down too hard with fork so the mixture will be pebbly and easy to put on top of the apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 min.
