2 bunches fresh turnip greens 1 c. (or more) leftover ham, cut in pieces 2 tsp sugar 2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 2T. hot pepper sauce
Wash and clean turnip greens in soda water. Rinse. Wash again in salt water. Rinse well. Place in a large boiler with 1 cup boiling water. Add ham, sugar, salt,black pepper and hot pepper sauce. Cover and cook on medium heat until greens are tender. Add more water if needed.
