2 c. All Bran Cereal
2 c. Shredded Wheat (3 large biscuits)
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. oleo
3 c. sugar
5 c. flour
4 eggs--slightly beaten
4 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 qt.butter milk
1 c. chopped dates

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cereals. Add hot water. Cream sugar and oleo. Add eggs and cereal mixture, then flour and other dry ingredients and buttermilk. Stir in dates. Bake in greased muffin tins @ 400 for 20-25 minutes. One half of the recipe makes at least 4 dozen. The batter keeps well in refrigerator in tightly closed container. So nice to have as a last minute special for breakfast.
