1/2 lb sliced bacon, diced
1 sm onion , chopped
2T all purpose flour
1/8 tsp salt
pinch or more black pepper
1 large can diced tomatoes, undrained
2 c. tomato puree

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon until crisp, drain. Discard all but 2 T. drippings. Cook onions in drippings until tender.
Stir in flour, salt and pepper, cook and stir over low heat until golden brown. Slowly add tomatoes and tomato puree. Stir well. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered for 10-15 minutes or until thickened, stirring often. Stir in bacon. Serve over biscuits, or with meatloaf or pork chops.
