3 T. butter
4 large onions thinly sliced
2 tsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
6-8 beef bouillon cubes
4 Cups water
Toasted French bread
Swiss or Gruyere cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in butter 'til transluscent and slightly browned; add flour and W. sauce. Dissolve boullion in water according to directions and add. Simmer for an hour or longer. Place bread slice in oven-proof bowl, then soup, then cheese. Place under broiler 'til cheese browns.
