4 c. Cooked Pumpkin
3 Eggs
1 c. Milk or Cream
1/2 stick Butter or Margarine
1-1/2 c. Sugar
1 tsp. Ground Allspice or Pumpkin Pie Spice
4 tbsp. Cornstarch (that is heaping tablespoonfuls)

Directions:

Prepare pumpkin; Remove stem and seeds, remove outer skin, cut into small chunks and cover with water. Cook pumpkin until soft, then drain off water. Then mash good. Mix together all ingredients cook on low until thick. Put in unbaked pie shells. Bake 350 until firm, about 1 hour You can also freeze the pumpkin. Cut up and cook until soft, drain good and mash. Cool, put in freezer bags.

Wanda: America's daughter said her Mom would get pumpkins from her garden. She would work hard at preparing the pumpkin, scraping it out and cutting in small pieces to cook. Took a lot of time, but the Pies were Delicious!
