5 c. sugar
1 c. light Karo syrup
1 1/2 c. water
2 egg whites
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, syrup and water in a heavy duty saucepan and slowly bring to a boil; let stand 5 minutes, then beat 2 egg whites with a few grains of salt in a separate bowl and beat until it is stiff but not too dry. Slowly pour syrup mixture into egg whites and beat until the whites lose their thine. Fold in 1/2 tsp. vanilla and loads of pecans and then drop by large teaspoons onto wax paper for candy to harden.
