1 cup shortening
3 eggs, beaten
1 can pumpkin (3 cups packed)
1 T. vanilla extract
3 cups sugar
3 cups self-rising flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. all-spice
1 tsp. cloves (opt.)
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream Cheese Icing
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter softened
2 tsp. vanilla
1 box confectioners sugar

Cream together shortening, eggs, pumpkin, & vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients & add to creamed mixture. Pour into a greased & floured tube pan. Bake @ 350 1 hr. 15 mins.

Beat together all ingredients until smooth. Spread on cooled cake.
