1 qt. washed strawberries
3/4 cup water
3 T. cornstarch
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Line baked pie shell with strawberries, reserving one cup for glaze. Simmer the remaining berries and water in saucepan for 3 to 4 minutes. Combine cornstarch and sugar. Add the cooked fruit. Cook again until syrup is thick and clear, stirring constantly. Add lemon juice and food coloring. Pour over berries in pie shell. Chill. Serve with whipped cream.
