3 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. finely ground chocolate wafer crumbs
(like chocolate graham crackers)
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325. Spray a 9-inch pie plate with nonstick cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, beat egg whites and salt at high speed with an electric mixer until foamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in chocolate wafer crumbs, pecans, and vanilla. Spoon mixture into prepared pie plate, and bake for 30 - 35 minutes or until the center of pie is firm. Let cool completely on wire rack. Spread Cool Whip over pie before serving.
