2 1/2 c. flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp salt
2/3 c. shortening
2/3 c.buttermilk
1/14 c. mashed bananas
3 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Blend flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt. Add shortening, 1/2 the buttermilk and mashed banana. Beat for 2 mins. at med. speed. Scrape bowl constantly. Add eggs and rest of buttermilk and beat 2 more minutes. Fold in nuts and pour into pan. Bake layers 35 min at 350 or 9x13 for 45-50 minutes
