1 c sugar 1 c of 1/2 lb butter 1 t vanilla 3 T flour 1 c milk
Cook flour and milk until quite thick, stirring constantly. Let cool to room temperature. Cream butter & sugar together. Then add flour & milk mixture. Add vanilla. This will be the consistency of whipped cream. Makes enough frosting for 4-layer cake if you care to split the halves.
