Thick sliced bread (such as Texas Toast or unsliced bakery bread) 3 eggs 1/2 cup milk 2 tsp sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp almond extract dash cinnamon
Beat eggs and milk until frothy. Add sugar, vanilla, almond and cinnamon. Beat well. Heat a skillet until hot. Melt a small amount of butter in the skillet. Dip bread in egg mixture, coating both sides well. Cook one side until done and nicely browned. Flip and repeat. Serve with butter and warm maple syrup.
