Lettuce of any sort, I use mixed if I have it, but any lettuce will do
1 firm pear
1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
1/4 to 1/2 cup walnut pieces or slivered almonds
Raspberry vinaigrette dressing

Directions:
Directions:
Tear lettuce into large salad bowl
Leaving skin on, cut pear in half length-wise and remove core. Cut pear into very thin slices lengthwise. Place on top of lettuce.
Crumble blue cheese over pear slices
Sprinkle nuts over blue cheese
Just before serving, pour dressing over salad and toss gently.

Note: if not eating right away, leave pears until serving time as they will turn brown.
