2 T butter
2 T flour
1 C milk
1/4 tsp salt
few grains of pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in small saucepan. Add flour, salt and pepper and stir until well blended. Pour in milk gradually, while stirring constantly. Bring to boiling point;. boil 2 minutes being careful not to burn. For a thin white sauce use 1 Tsp butter and 1 Tsp four.

I can never remember this recipe and it is great for creamed vegetables, or just creamed dried beef on toast
