"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
2 T butter 2 T flour 1 C milk 1/4 tsp salt few grains of pepper
Melt butter in small saucepan. Add flour, salt and pepper and stir until well blended. Pour in milk gradually, while stirring constantly. Bring to boiling point;. boil 2 minutes being careful not to burn. For a thin white sauce use 1 Tsp butter and 1 Tsp four.
I can never remember this recipe and it is great for creamed vegetables, or just creamed dried beef on toast
