2 c flour
1/4 c sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp mace or nutmeg
1/4 c oil
3/4 c milk
1 egg beaten
powdered sugar, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Add liquid ingredients and stir with fork until thoroughly mixed. Drop by tsp into deep hot fat (370 degrees). Fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar
