3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/4 t., salt
2 t. soda
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. cloves
1 t. ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together. Add molasses and egg, beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients, mix thoroughly. Roll into small ball and dip into sugar, Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Bake in preheated 375 oven 10 to 12 minutes.
