1- 32 oz. package shredded frozen potatoes
1 cup melted butter or margarine
1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
12 oz. shredded American cheese
1-8 oz. carton sour cream
1 tsp. salt
1 small onion grated or chopped
2 cups crushed cornflakes or crushed potato chips

Directions:
Directions:
Place thawed potatoes in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Mix together soup, 1/2 cup melted butter, sour cream, salt, cheese and onions. Pour over potatoes. Top with corn flakes or potato chips; drizzle 1/2 cup melted butter all over all. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let stand 20to 30 minutes before serving.
