6 c. sliced apples 1 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 t. cinnamon 4 T. flour
Topping: 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 c. flour 1/2 c. butter melted
First layer is a single 9" pie shell (frozen or homemade). Brush layer with butter to keep crust from getting soggy. Add apple mixture. Mix together topping and crumb it over the top of the applies. Bake at 400º for 15 minutes then reduce the temperature to 350º and bake for 40-45 minutes.
