2 cakes yeast 1/4 c. sugar 1 c. milk 1 t. salt 1/2 c. shortening 3 eggs 5 c. flour
Crumble yeast, add sugar. Let stand 20 min. Scald milk, add fat and salt. Cool to lukewarm, add yeast and beaten eggs, then flour, beat well. Knead dough. Let rise 2 hours, then punch down grease, cover and store in refrigerator.
