2 medium Onions -- quartered
1 Cabbage head cut in small wedges
1/2 tsp. Pepper
3 Tblsp. Vinegar
3 Tblsp. Sugar
2 c. Water

Directions:

On my side of the family we have a Scotch/Irish background with the Clan name of McWhirter. This name flows through my motherís family. The Mercer County History Book speaks of her grandfather coming from County Cork to New Wilmington, PA as a weaver of fine linen. Because of this connection St Patrickís Day was celebrated in my home and the home of Clay and Tessa.
