25 large cucumbers
12 medium onions (white)
1/2 c. salt
1 pt. vinegar
2 c. sugar
2 T. each of ginger, white mustard seed and tumeric powder

Directions:
Directions:
Let unpeeled cucumbers stand in water overnight. Then slice onions and cucumbers and place in pan, enameled pans, crock or glass container with the dry salt not water. Let stand 1 hr. Then rinse off salt add vinegar, sugar, mustard seed, ginger and tumeric powder

Boil cucumbers in this mixture until the cucumbers peel turns yellow (40 mins) Let stand 10 days before using.

Always use small glass topped jars
