1/2 lb bacon, cut in 1/2" pieces
1 lb gemelli pasta
grated parmesan cheese
olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
In a large non-stick skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until browned stirring occasionally. Remove bacon and set aside. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to skillet and saute the brussel sprouts until browned. Add 1/2 cup of water to the skillet and bring to a simmer, scraping the bottom. Reduce by half.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta in well-salted water until al-dente. Drain reserving 1 cup of the liquid. Add the pasta to the pan with the brussel sprouts. Add the reserved bacon, salt and pepper and toss. If the pasta seems dry, pour in the reserved cooking liquid. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
