3/4 c. boiling water
1/2 c. yellowcornmeal
3 T. shortening
1/4 c. molasses
2 tsp. salt

1/4 c. warm water
1 pkg. yeast
1 egg
2-3/4 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Stir first 5 ingredients in large bowl. Cool to
lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add
yeast, egg, half of the flour to mixture. Beat 2 min.
@ medium speed. Scrape bowl frequently. Add
rest of flour w/spoon. Spread evenly in greased
loaf pan (will be sticky). Set in warm place until
dough reaches top of pan. Sprinkle w/additional
cornmeal and salt. Bake @375 for 50-55 min.
Remove from pan immediately.
