Butter for greasing pan
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
dash of nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
4 medium apples (Golden Delicious, Fuji, or Braeburn) peeled (if desired) cored and cut in half
1-16oz can refrigerated biscuit dough
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Butter a 7X11" baking dish. In small bowl, combine sugars, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir to mix well. Roll apples in sugar-cinnamon mixture to coat. Separate biscuit dough into 8 pieces. Flatten each piece of dough in a circle. Wrap a biscuit around each apple half and place, seam side down, in pan. Add vanilla extract, melted butter and water to remaining sugar-cinnamon mixture. Stir to dissolve sugar. Pour mixture over dumplings in pan Bake 35 to 40 minutes, until golden. Serve hot.
