1 1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
4 c. chicken broth
1 lb ham cubed
2 15oz cans great northern beans drained
1 16oz can whole tomatoes drained and cut up.

Place 1/2 t. rosemary leaves
1/4 t. thyme leaves
1 bay leaf
6 peppercorns
in cheese cloth

Mix all ingredients along with seasonings in large container cover and simmer 30 min.
