Ingredients:  
1 1/2 c. Brown sugar
1 1/2 c. boiling water
Mix 1 c. flour, 1 c. white sugar, 1 t. baking powder, 1 c. milk, 1 1/2 c. chopped dated, 1/2 c. nuts and 1 t. vanilla. Mix in order named and pour into syrup. DO NOT STIR.

Bake 30 min. in moderate oven.
