1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. cornflakes
1 c. salted peanuts

Cream shortening and sugar, then beat in eggs one at a time. Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder and add to mixture. Fold in vanilla, oatmeal, corn flakes and nuts. Put small mounds on buttered cookie sheet and flatten with fork. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
