1 ½ c Flour, sifted ¾ c Sugar ½ tsp Baking Powder ½ tsp Baking Soda ½ tsp Salt ½ c Shortening 1 Egg 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 2 tsp Milk
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt soda, and sugar. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Blend in egg, vanilla and milk. Roll out on lightly floured pastry cloth or board to 1/16” thickness. Cut with cookie cutters.. Place in moderately hot oven (400°) for 6-8 min. [I usually use this recipe, but bake at 375°]
