This recipe for Cream cheese Mints CHECK THIS RECIPE, by Kristy Cox, is from Our Family Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
8 ounces cream cheese ??granulated sugar and oil flavoring 2 pounds powdered sugar paste or powdered food coloring Mix the cream cheese and powdered sugar together Knead with hands until it resembles pie dough Flavor and color at this time by hand
Roll into small balls and roll in granulated sugar (this keeps them from sticking to the molds) Press into desired mold and pop out immediately Makes about 150 mints Can be eaten immediately or if stored in covered container Will keep indefinitely in the refrigerator Can be colored by using powdered food coloring as the liquid colors make the mints to sticky
Note: this is certainly a nice party mint that can be made in the rubber molds. Some suggested molds for this mint at bite sized hearts, roses, leaf, small daisy, baby bootie, bunnies, Santa Claus, and pumpkins
