1 box raisins
3 c. water, simmer 10 minutes
2/3 c. crisco
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda

for icing:
1 stick butter or margarine
1/4 c. milk
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. confectioners sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix raisins, water, crisco & sugar. Cool, then add remaining ingredients and mix. Bake on cookie sheet, or deep cake pan at 350 degrees approximately 20 minutes. Cut in bars.

Mix ingredients for icing & cook a few minutes. Add 2 c. confectioners sugar. Put over bars.
