1 can each green, wax, and kidney beans, well drained.
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped

Liquid:
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/3 c. salad oil

Directions:
Directions:
Mix liquid ingredients together until sugar is dissolved.
Mix liquid with remainder ingredients and put in ice-box. Will keep for weeks.

I like the way grandma referred to the refrigerator as the "ice-box" on her recipes. Also she used lots of "oleo", I believe is the same as margarine today.
