2/3 cup butter, softened
1 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup milk
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Stir butter, sugar and cinnamon together until well mixed. Set aside. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in large bowl until blended. Cut in shortening with 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in milk. Dough will be very soft. Using a floured rolling pin, roll into a 9" square abou1/3" thick. Spread with butter mixture. Sprinkle with nuts. Roll up jelly-roll style. Pinch seams together. Slice into twelve 3/4" pinwheels. Bake in center of oven and bake at 425 until cinnamon buns are golden, about 15-18 minutes.
