2 cups flour
1 Tbsp ginger
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Beat shortening until creamy. Add sugar and beat well. Beat egg and molasses. Sift in flour. Roll in balls and roll in sugar. Pat down with fork. Bake at 375.
