2 cups flour 2 Tbsp sugar 4 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 2 egg yolks, well beaten 2 cups milk 2 Tbsp butter or margarine, melted 1 cup finely grated apple 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Sift together dry ingredients. Combine egg yolks and milk. Pour into dry ingredients. Stir well. Stir in butter and apple. Fold in egg whites. Let batter stand a few minutes. Cook on hot griddle. Makes seven 8" cakes. Serve with maple syrup.
