Personal Notes:
Grandma gave me this recipe in 1975. Shane was a baby. That Christmas dad came to visit. I remember our Christmas tree experience...Steve & I really wanted to cut our first tree from somewhere out in the woods. We did just that, plus shot down our own mistletoe. I could not handle it...once we got it up, it looked like Charlie Brown's tree...I was so upset. I cried, and I took it down. I then drove uptown, to the courthouse lawn in Boonville, & bought one. I don't remember Steve having any decision making in it...I just did it. Today, I would welcome that ugly little tree...how time & life experience change your attitude & priorities, especially during the holiday season. I do know one thing...grandma's "white fudge" recipe was delicious & made our first Christmas perfect.
