3 cups flour
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
3/4 tsp salt
4 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp white sugar
3/4 cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together in order given. Cut in shortening. Add the eggs to milk and blend. Mix wet and dry ingredients thoroughly. Knead mixture for 3 minutes. Cut with a round or square cookie cutter and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 425 for 12 minutes.
