"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Mock Whipped Cream Frosting, by Wava Madden, is from The Madden Family Cookbook ,

families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
4 heaping T. flour 1-1/3 c milk 1/2 c butter or oleo 1/2 c Crisco 1-1/3 c sugar 1 tsp. vanilla
Cook flour and milk until thick and cool until COLD. Whip together butter or oleo, Crisco and sugar until fluffy, then add cooled flour milk mixture; add 1 tsp vanilla and keep whipping until stiff and fluffy like whipped cream. Handy because it takes no powdered sugar.
