1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup icing sugar
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
In bowl, beat butter until fluffy. Beat in icing sugar, 2 Tbsp at a time, until light and fluffy. Sift together flour and cornstarch. Stir into butter mixture, one-third at a time, to make smooth dough. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 1" apart, onto parchment paper-lined rimless baking sheets. Press each cookie slightly with floured tines of fork to flatten (or press dough through cookie press). Bake in centre of 300 oven until firm, 20 to 25 minutes (do not let tops brown). Makes about 75 cookies.
