1 pkg German chocolate cake mix
1 egg
1/2 c. margarine (chilled)
1/2 chopped nuts
1/2 margarine
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg (14 oz) Kraft caramels
chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry cake mix, chilled margarine and egg until crumbly: reserve 1 1/2 cups. Press remaining in ungreased 9x13" pan. Bake 10-12 minutes. cool 10 minutes.

Heat milk, margarine and caramels over low heat-stirring until melted. Pour over crust; sprinkle with nuts, reserved crumbly mixture and chocolate chips. Bake 25-30 minutes until crumbly mixture appears brown and dry. Cool. Loosen edges of bars with spatula; refrigerated until caramel is firm (1 Hour). Cut into bars.
