1 cup sugar
1/2 cup lard
3 eggs
2 c. raisins (cook and flour them)
cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves
1 tsp soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup juice of raisins
1 1/2 -1 3/4 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Simmer raisins in water to cook them until they are plump. Reserve liquid. Mix all together and bake for 1 hour at 350.

Frost with brown sugar frosting.
