romaine or regular lettuce
chopped apples
chopped pears
cashews
dried cranberries
Swiss cheese

Dressing:

1/2 cup sugar
1 3/4 tsp salt
1/8 cup grated onion
6 T. vinegar
3/4 c. salad oil
2 tsp poppy seed

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dressing ingredients for the poppy seed dressing.

Layer lettuce, chopped apples and pears, dried cranberries and cashews. Top with Swiss cheese and the dressing.
