Directions:
Cut and peel potatoes and dice them.Cut up an onion and throw it in the pot. Cover it all with water (just covered). Boil it until just before the taters are done (15-18 minutes). Add the dumplings and cook for 10-15 more minutes. Add a spoonful of butter and add enough milk to get the right soupyness. Let it cook (slightly boil*) thoroughly.

*Grannie always says you should wait till the end to add milk because you don't want to boil milk or it will taste spoiled.
