3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup water
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
3/4 tsp cloves
2 cans jellied cranberry sauce
3 cups water
1 qt (4 cups) pineapple juice
butter, optional
cinnamon stick stirrers, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Bring to a boil, sugar, 1 cup water, salt and spices. Crush cranberry sauce with a fork. Add 3 cups water and beat with a rotary beater until smooth. Add this and pineapple juice to hot spiced syrup and heat to boiling. Serve hot, dotted with butter, and serve with cinnamon stick stirrers, if you like Yields 2 1/2 quarts.
