-drop of olive oil
-one ripe plum/ roma tomato, cut into very small chunks
-one crushed/ finely chopped clove of garlic (to taste)
-fresh minced basil to taste
-dash of red wine
-finely chopped onion to taste (my preference is a slice)
-2 teaspoons of sugar
- jar of spaghetti sauce with full vegetable servings

Directions:
Directions:
In a warm pan, add a drop of olive oil and begin sauteing the garlic and the onions. When garlic is tender and onions caramelized, add chopped basil, chopped tomatoes, sugar, and enough red wine to cover the ingredients. Simmer with a lid on until tomatoes are very tender. Add spaghetti sauce, mix all ingredients well, and warm up.

If you wish, you may add other vegetables, like finely chopped carrots or mushrooms. The secret is the red wine and sugar.
