1c. butter, 2 c. brown sugar firmly packed, 2 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla, 2 1/2 c. sifted flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1tsp.salt, 3 c. quick cooking oatmeal

Double Boiler Ingredients: 1 12oz. pkg. chocolate chips, 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 2 T. butter, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. chopped walnuts, 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and brown sugar in bowl until light. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Add oatmeal to creamed mixture. Mix all ingredients well.

In double boiler combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter and salt. Stir until melted. Remove from heat and stir in walnuts and vanilla. Spread 2/3 of dough onto greased cookie sheet. Cover with chocolate mixture. Dot remaining dough mixture over chocolate filling. Bake in oven at 350
